June 18th - 19th: Freeport and my beach attempt

The drive...not a cloud in the sky, no traffic...very nice scenery

I got to Freeport and looked for 3 hours for the stupid beach.  I found one, but it was a 2 mile hike.  I normally wouldn't mind a hike, but I was dressed for the beach: flip flops.  I was NOT going to hike in flip flops, not after I injured my foot last time I didn't wear the proper shoes.

Stone House ??  It was supposed to be right where Lookout Point was on the map...hmm

I also found out that "Look out Point," "Albright Point," etc are PRIVATE PROPERTY: NO TRESPASSING.  That was after I found them on a map and drove to see them.  There were wooden signs all over the place, I thought it was official, not someone's property.  Why do they have "point" on the map then.  Just don't include it or put private property.  That would have saved me an hour an a half!!

I did get a little glimpse...

On the bright side, I found a farmer's market with fresh strawberries and pickles.  Freeport is basically outlet stores, so I also got to go shopping (not sure that was such a good thing).
